Cara Roberts

    I started serious weight training 8 years ago, at the age of 33 and have never looked back. I went from the repetitive aerobics classes, endless cardio sessions and sadly no CLUE how to fuel my body... to having the ability to change my body composition the way I had been trying to for years. Once I started learning from the right people, I gained incredible knowledge in the weight room as well as in the kitchen, and my confidence and mindset started to move in the right direction. Soon after, I felt it was time to consider getting my feet wet and compete.

   Never in my wildest dreams did I expect I had what it took to go as far as I have, despite what my gym family told me. I was in it only to prove to myself I could get up there! The first time on stage was euphoric as I placed 1st in my class. I then went on to provincials to learn a humbling lesson, place dead last...knowing then that the next levels wouldn't come as easily!

   Every season my goal is to completely transform, show the judges how hard I work 365 days a year, and show myself I can achieve everything I set my heart to.

In 7 years I've taken numerous top placings, some bottom, 2 x overalls at BC provincials in 2013 and 2018..as well as winning my masters class... and stand in the overall for a potential pro card at Nationals in 2014. (won by a deserving woman from Alberta)

   I have recently hung up my heals to not only help others with their goals but to run our Active Body Nutrition PG fitness, health and wellness hub in my hometown... all while juggling my family and art studio.
